It is furnished with a comfortable sofa seating four, that converts to a double bed, a sideboard with games, and bookcase, side table, reading lamp, rug, electric heating, flat screen TV, DVD, radio/CD player and has the benefit of free high-speed broadband Intenet access

In the modern fully equipped open-plan kitchen /diner there is a washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, microwave/grill, hob with extractor, oven and a full compliment of utensils, crockery, cutlery, glassware, etc.

The dining table extends to seat up to eight should a group of friends wish to dine together.

Bedroom one has a large double bed with 100% cotton French linen and bedcover, dressing table with lamps, electric heating, rugs, and fitted built-in wardrobe with mirrored doors. The en-suite fully-tiled bathroom features a corner bath with shower, a separate shower cubicle, wash basin with mirror over, and a separate WC.

The large second bedroom is on the floor above and sleeps up to four in twin beds and the large double sofa bed. It is furnished with a chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, a marble-topped table and two chairs, and tea and coffee-making facilities.

The large en-suite bathroom is fitted with a large shower cubicle, wash basin unit, and WC.

The area surrounding Saint-Chinian, and the nearby Haute Languedoc National Park, is a great place for walking and bike rides. Walkers and hikers will find free English language guides in the Tourist Office.

The glorious free Mediterranean beaches are only 40 minutes away by car, while the village has its own public swimming pool (open from June 1st).

Alternatively, you can swim in the River Orb at Roquenbrun or the river Cesse at Bize-Minervois where the rivers are dammed especially to make fun, safe swimming.

The area also offers the chance to try your hand at rock-climbing, fishing, painting, golf, horse-riding and canoeing.

The local scenery is stunning. Safe beaches, historic chateaux, abbeys, the mountains of the Haut Languedoc National Park with its picturesque gorges, natural rock pools, river swimming and canoeing, are all within 40 minutes, or much less, from your front door.

Golf is available in Saint Thomas (35 minutes), Lamalou les Bains (45 minutes) or Carcassonne (one hour).

The Spanish border is about a 90 minutes drive, while in winter inexpensive Pyranées skiing is available in a little over 2 hours drive – making it possible for a day trip.

This apartment may be rented either as a one bedroom (with prices the same as for Les Tournasols), or as a spacious two bedroom and two bathroom apartment.

Both apartments are available for weekly lets only in July and August from Saturday-to-Saturday. At other times they are available for three-night weekend breaks (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), four night weekday breaks (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday), or of course, by the week. Any multiple of nights make it flexible and inexpensive for a long weekend, mid-week break, 10 days, a memorable two-week holiday, or longer stay. We are happy to try to meet whatever accommodation requirements you may have.

Within a few minutes walk are several restaurants, a pizzeria, and two café bars. The renowned red and rosé AOC Saint-Chinian wines are available from local, friendly producers offering free ‘degustation’ (tasting).

There is a Spar supermarket a two minutes walk, while a larger supermarket is only a very short car ride away.
