A lovely old renovated farmhouse that's been in the same family for generations.
Near to the picturesque medieval village of LAURAC-LE-GRAND, once the lord's seigniory and an important centre of catharism, with its church in baroque hispano-meridional style typical of the region and the remains of its fortifications (XI, XIII, XVI°C), you find the DOMAINE DES ROUJOUX, nestling in the hills overlooking the vast plain du Lauragais.
GET AWAY FROM IT ALL: CALM and COMPLETE CHANGE OF SCENE GUARANTEED !
It's the perfect setting to relax and unwind, take long WALKS, have a BARBECUE or a game of BOULES.
You can try the 9-hole practice GOLF COURSE (equipment not supplied).
The SWIMMING POOL (9x4.5) has a view over the Montagne Noire. It has a small paddling pool and there is a protective barrier to conform to French regulations.
Don't forget your sun tan lotion !!
The house is cool in summer, confortable and completely equiped.
The few ANIMALS on the farm will delight the children.
The BAKER comes by 3 times a week bringing bread and croissants.
Between the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees, at the gates to Spain, come and discover this region where the sun shines 200 days a year, with its Cathar history and, amongst other things, the CITE of CARCASSONNE, the regional produce (CASSOULET..), its medieval markets (MIREPOIX..), its mountain CHEESES and above all the numerous local WINES..
This cereal-producing region of many facets will charm you and awaken your senses.

The cassoulet of Castelnaudary, the local produce such as poultry, capons and ducks raised on the farms.., its foie gras, and the flavours of old times, the fruits ripened by the sun (melon, apricot, cherry, raisin..), the mountain cheeses.
Awaken your senses with the local wines :
Minervois, Clape, Malepère, Corbières, Fitou, Chardonnet as well as the famous Blanquette de Limoux, created in 835, a century before the Champagne de Don Pérignon.
