Holiday Home for 4/6 people with an outside jacuzzi
ACCOMMODATION
At the side of the main house is a very attractive holiday home, awarded '3 épis' or wheat ears by 'Gîtes de France'.
The two bedrooms are very comfortable and each has its own bathroom or shower room and independent toilet.
The house is well equipped with dishwasher, washing machine/drier, microwave oven, radio cassette and television. It can accommodate four people and in the sitting room there is a comfortable settee which converts to a bed for two additional people.
LIVING ROOM
The stone walls, terracotta tiles and rush matting give a rustic atmosphere to the interior. The curtains are soft reds, yellows and orange, the bed covers are a clear sky blue and the mid- 19th century (Louis Philippe) furniture and modern pieces blend into this background.
For those who want a rest and break from household tasks and choose to book the 'Gîtes du Soleil' preference the beds are made, the towels and other household linen are provided and cleaning of the house after your stay is included in the price.
KITCHEN
Outside is a small, enclosed, courtyard garden with deck chairs, a teak table and a barbecue where you can relax and enjoy the company of friends or family.
The Jacuzzi (usable in July and August), the benefits of which have been known since antiquity, is a place to relax, and enjoy the action of the water. Imagine an ocean of bubbles helping you to relax and the soothing waves gently massaging you and enabling you to rediscover your energies and joy of living. There is a natural swimming pool with free access located at 7 km (source of the Berre river), a public pool at Durban - 6 km - and the Mediterranean beaches are at only 30 mn from the Gite.
LOCAL TOURISM
Discover the Cathar Castles of Aguilar, Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Villerouge-termenés... la Cité médiévale de Carcassonne (given World Historical Monument status by UNESCO), the romanesque abbeys of Fontfroide and Lagrasse.
Visit the vineyards in a 4 x 4 vehicle, learn about growing vines and the art of wine making. See the wine harvest 'Les Vendanges'. Have an adventure in a 4 x 4 following part of the route of the Paris/Dakar car race.
Visit the African Safari Park (Réserve Africaine) at Sigean where there are 3500 animals.
Take a tour on a mountain bike following the marked tracks around Cascastel.
Walk along the 'Sentier Cathare' (Cathar footpath) or along other tracks and footpaths around Cascastel.
Concerts and evenings of wine and music from November to March at the Domaine.
Visit a botanical garden and also see the beehives.

OTHER INFORMATION
The rental charge is for one week from Saturday to Saturday. Outside the summer season the rental can be for a weekend.
Price per week all charges of electricity and heating included: 690 Euros in July/August ; 560 Euros in June and September ; 520 Euros in the school holiday periods ; 490 Euros for other times of the year ; 220 Euros for a weekend.
